Psycho Soldier Team in The King of Fighters XIV

The Psycho Soldier Team or known as China Team in KOF '94 is a team made up of the members of the video game Psycho Soldier, they represent China and their first debut is in The King of Fighters '94.

Story

Orochi Saga

In the Orochi sagas theme are three Psychic Warriors (Athena, Kensou and Chin) who were invited by Rugal Bernstein (the organizer of the tournament).

By '95 Rugal returned to his old ways and this time more powerful. To do this, he controls Saisyu's mind. Kusanagi (With the purpose of hurting Kyo) is defeated by Kyo's team.

During '96 Athena has received more fans by seeing her participate in KOF tournaments.

Athena could not participate in the next event at Chin's request as she did not want her to finish the training issues, but a letter suddenly arrived from Kaoru Watabe who saw the tournament on television and wants to see her in person. The content of the letter helps him with his arguments that his advertising moves people to be better, which is in essence, another way to save humanity, Chin determined to this letter that he read decides that Athena enters the tournament.

In the 1997 event, the Psycho Soldiers meet Kaoru who saw Athena and she gets up from her chair. Kaoru affirmed that with Athena's effort and seeing her in person was why she healed so quickly, so Athena and Kaoru are true colleagues and leave Kensou discouraged.

NESTS Saga

In the first event of the NESTS Chronicles, the rules are that the tournament requires a fourth member, so the warriors met Bao, an orphan boy who also possesses psychic powers only that he does not bring good experience using them in combat. However, everything was fine, until Kensou loses his powers since his meeting with Bao.

At the end of her team, Kaoru appears who is at the base and warns the boys to go out through an emergency door that she found. But Athena is trapped in a rock Kensou saved her with his remaining power that he has, they both got out safely. Outside, Kensou somewhat depressed because his powers disappear, Athena consents him saying that very soon his powers will return.

For 2000 they were invited by an organizer named Ling, a close friend of Heidern's soldier who is related to the cannon he built during the finals. They also meet the Anti-K' who is a NESTS agent and intended to kill K'. But because of speculation about Zero cannon and that NESTS couldn't make this happen, they decided that she would destroy it.

After Zero has been defeated again by K', he finally uses the cannon in his intention to destroy the whole world and to have betrayed NESTS but by surprise the cannon did not work because Kula (the Anti-K') sabotaged the weapon in the space together with Candy. Bao wanted to risk his life to stop the laser with all his powers and he was completely injured, before the gaze of Chin, Kaoru and Athena, in which the latter could not heal him with her powers. Then Kensou takes his hands on Bao and at this moment a luminous light in the shape of a dragon is unleashed, which apparently became known as the spirit of the dragon. Since they both had a psychic bond, which Chin verified to the two boys that they have a potential relationship.

In 2001, the four of them have returned to action now that Kensou regains some of his power, Chin realized that Bao and Kensou had to test their psychic connection, Kensou has regained his powers after last year and they all enter the tournament. However, when the K' Team received Igniz and after a more powerful fight, that is where Athena joined the other members of each team. The four were rescued (Probably Ron), Athena and Chin are very confused that Kensou had already improved, but Bao told them that Kensou absorbed his power, from the shadows Ron would suddenly appear with Misty who intend to steal the Spirit of Dragon.

Dream Matches

In each Dream Match they took up the classic team of all their appearances, without Bao or Kaoru. In The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match Bao is added as a third member and Chin joins the Master Team with Heidern from the Ikari Warriors Team and Takuma Sakazaki from the Art of Fighting Team.

Ash Saga

In 2003 Athena formed her High School Girls Team, due to Kensou and Bao training with Chin to master the Spirit of the Dragon. Chin also summoned K', Maxima and the Ikari Warriors to enter the tournament as Chin sensed that a great evil had come. In the XI the Soldiers return this time with the name "Neo-Psycho Soldier Team", Kensou has returned after a training with Chin, they also include Momoko a girl with psychic powers and capoeira arts.

In KOF XIII; Athena, Kensou and Chin appears back, they are the same group again. After the end of the saga, when the reporter interviews the warriors, Kensou in the middle of an interview imagines himself as some superheroes known as "The Psycho Rangers" (a clear parody of the Power Rangers) with Momoko and Bao trying to stop them. Ron and the members of the Hizoku clan.

The King of Fighters XIV

In this game the group is again made up of the traditional trio, this time they are invited by the organizer of the tournament being Antonov.
