KOF: Maximum Impact is a fighting game for PlayStation 2, produced by the Noise Factory published by SNK Playmore in the 2004-2005 period.

A slightly improved version was released for Xbox and PlayStation 2 under the title of KOF: Maximum Impact - Maniax. Despite being marketed as a spin-off of the main games of The King of Fighters, where many of its characters originate, KOF: Maximum Impact aims to be a continuation of what was the original chronology of Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting before to join in one with The King of Fighters, in which the game owes much of its look, feel and style. KOF: Maximum Impact is the first 3D combat video game made by SNK since Samurai Shodown: Warriors Rage for PlayStation, which was released in 1999.
