K' Team in The King of Fighters XV

The K' Team, also known as the new Hero Team and the new Protagonist Team is a team formed by K', as the new leader of the Hero Team, after the disappearance of Kyo Kusanagi, they are presented in The King of Fighters '99 for the first time, since that in the NESTS Saga they are very important, but from the Ash Saga they do not achieve much progress.

Story[]

NESTS Saga[]

The King of Fighters '99[]

The story begins with K', a young man who was kidnapped by an organization called NESTS, who wanted to create a perfect clone of Kyo Kusanagi (this shows that it was the NESTS cartel who kidnapped Kyo at the end of KOF '97) and for this they injected Kyo's DNA into this young man, who could only control his power with a special glove. Because of that, he was seen as a prototype clone, nicknamed only K', which was short for Krizalid, his default name, but failing to master fire as expected he was given an incomplete name. He was sent along with his partner Maxima, a cyborg created by NESTS, to participate in the KOF tournament, teaming up with Benimaru Nikaido and Shingo Yabuki, who were investigating Kyo's whereabouts, completely unaware that his two companions belong to the organization that kidnapped Kyo. As they progressed through the tournament, they were watched by the tournament sponsor, Krizalid, an NESTS officer, who would be in charge of keeping an eye on K' and Maxima to ensure they did their job. When they finally reached the final round, they were transferred to an underground sector, where they meet the tournament's sponsor, Krizalid, who is preparing to fight with them, Meanwhile the mercenaries Ikari they were watching what happened in the tournament, when they discovered a series of appearances in various parts of the world, where they discovered that Kyo Kusanagi is in several places at the same time, with this they conclude that they are clones of Kyo. At the same time they were watching the contact that the K' Team made with Krizalid, listening to what they were talking about after a brief fight. Apparently, NESTS planned to attack various places in the world where people of authority in their respective country were located, using clones of Kyo Kusanagi, however they were missing something, a code called "Trigger Data", which was the code that would give the clones the ability to kill in cold blood, without mercy. Both the K' Team and the Ikari Mercenaries were surprised, then Krizalid said that to create the trigger data a large amount of battle data was required for that, and for that reason K' and Maxima were sent to collect battle information in the tournament (this revealed that K' and Maxima belonged to NESTS). Finally the most unexpected information was delivered: Krizalid mentioned that K' is a clone of him, he told him that this was a fact since he had no memories of his childhood, his parents, etc. However, K' did not get carried away by that, and prepared to fight Krizalid to finish this once and for all. Eventually Maxima helped, Benimaru and Shingo joined in as well despite hearing the truth about K'.

The final battle took place, where Krizalid shows that he wears a special combat suit that collects tournament data. They realized that with Krizalid's speed, they had to fight all together at the same time, but even so, Krizalid was able to fight all at once, defeating one after the other, until only K' remained. Although he was exhausted, K' did not give up as he could not let Krizalid achieve his goal, and he set out to attack him with all his might. To Krizalid's surprise, K' managed to defeat him, who was not going to accept defeat so easily, and prepared to activate the clones with the information he had, however, a mysterious voice out of nowhere announced to Krizalid that everything was over, with the clones removed, there was no reason to continue, and I mention that both the facilities and the agents would be exterminated. All the facilities began to collapse due to the Self-destruction system. Meanwhile, K' and the team escaped, while Krizalid was stunned and did not know what to do, when she appeared Whip. Krizalid called her sister, implying that Whip was his sister, asking him for help, but Whip did not agree, and told him a great truth: K' was not his clone, but the original, and Krizalid was the clone. He could not bear that, denying the truth, but before saying more one of the rubble fell on him, knocking him out and leaving him in amnesia. It was found by Heidern, leader of the Ikari mercenaries.

After that, K' and his team split into two: K' and Maxima on the one hand, and Benimaru and Shingo on the other. They both managed to escape, but K' and Maxima had not yet since they were being pursued by the Ikari mercenaries, who saw them as possible accomplices. Since K' was tired, Maxima covered him, telling him that he could deal with the situation. While they were getting their escape, K' met an unexpected person: he met Kyo Kusanagi himself, who had managed to escape from his imprisonment of the NESTS facilities. Kyo was curious to see K', then more curious as he felt the power of K' and noticed that his power was the same as his (not to mention that he saw K' glove on fire). Even with all the fuss, Kyo challenged K' to a battle, who already accepted that K' he was curious to know if he was stronger than the original user of the powers he had. K' exhausted had no way to win, in what appears Iori who was hanging around the facility looking for answers about Kyo's disappearance. Iori and Kyo begin a tenas encounter, but he is stopped by the amount of falling debris, postponing the fight for another time.

The King of Fighters 2000[]

K' and Maxima are now defectors as NESTS agents, and they are ready to eliminate them. After having gone and destroyed several NESTS barracks, K' and Maxima receive invitations to a new KOF tournament. Eventually the team 4 rude was maintained, so K' and Maxima had to find two new teammates. In the end his new companions turned out to be Vanessa and Ramon, two government agents who were collaborating with the Ikari Mercenaries in the search for the NESTS poster, who contacted them to form a team. With the new K' Team ready, they prepared for the tournament. In the process, they encountered a mysterious fighter named Kula Diamond.

An analysis of Maxima revealed that he was a NESTS agent, due to his appearance, also taking the fact that he was a person with artificial powers like K', except that he was given Ice powers, unlike K' who had powers of Fire. Apparently she was known to NESTS as the Anti-K' agent, who was on a mission to destroy K'. Although he had appeared with another mission, seeing K' did not miss the opportunity to executive his main mission. After a fight, she left since she could not handle the entire team alone, and focused on her other mission. As they pass the final round, they come to a factory with an underground location that resembled the interior of a church. Meanwhile the Ikari Mercenaries commanded by Heidern were monitoring the team's activities, when suddenly, all officers pointed guns at Heidern, including his friend Ling. He explained that it was not Ling, but an NESTS agent, who was in the service of the tournament sponsor, Zero, a renegade NESTS agent. As revealed, he was in charge of overseeing the creation of the Kyo clones, and was responsible for Krizalid's death. Zero mentioned that he would no longer follow NESTS, and would create his own world order, and for this he built a satellite weapon called Zero Cannon. which was a Satellite Laser with the ability to eliminate the population of a city and leave it at 0. As a sample Test, I fire the Laser at South Town, destroying most of the city. Zero finally mentioned that he would use the energy he would acquire from the final battle, which would be against K' team. In the end K' and his team defeated Zero. In desperation, Zero was preparing to fire the Zero Cannon at the place where they were, however the generator began to fail, as two NESTS agents, Diana and Foxy, sabotaged it, and as a bonus, they sent Kula into space together with her robot companion, Candy Diamond, to freeze the weapon and render it unusable.

At the end, while K' and Maxima were leaving the place, one of the Ikari Warriors, Whip, appeared before K' (this was the first time they saw each other) and suddenly he began to have memories, where he saw a little girl crying, but could not see who it was. To clear his doubts, he did an act that could kill him, he took off the glove that allowed him to control his powers, and the memory of the girl became clear. The girl was Whip, K' understood that she was her younger sister, and she later introduced herself to K', mentioning that her real name was Muchiko. With one less enigma from his past life, K' left with Maxima and her sister.

The King of Fighters 2001[]

With a new tournament, K' got ready to participate to put an end to the NESTS activities. Its fourth member turned out to be Lin, a member of the Hizoku assassin, who agreed to join them because like his companions, they had reasons to face NESTS (in Lin's case, he was looking for Ron, his teacher and the emperor of his clan, who betrayed them, and allied with NESTS).

Upon reaching the finals of the tournament, they came across an airship that they had to board. However, it was not an airship, but a space rocket that would take them into space. On board they would meet an unexpected fighter, Zero. They noticed that he was not the same as this one had white hair like K'. Zero mentioned that the Zero they met was a clone of him, however it was revealed and they had no choice but to eliminate it. The team prepared to fight Zero, but apparently he was not alone. He was accompanied by his pet black lion, Glugan, the traitorous Emperor of the Hizoku Ron, and finally Krizalid, who revived him as a clone. And the fight began, as expected, Lin faced Ron to settle accounts, Whip and Maxima faced Krizalid, and K' against Zero and Glugan. Curiously, Zero was very respectful to K', besides being more honorable in battle, however he proved to be more powerful than his clone. Even so, K' team was victorious. They finally reached a space station, where the ship began to self-destruct. Zero, who in an unexpected act, told K' and his companions that if they wanted to live, to board the station, and he would accept defeat and die with the spaceship on him.

Upon reaching the main hall of the station, which looked like a cemetery, they met the leader of NESTS, Igniz, who in the presentation killed his father Nests, the legitimate leader of NESTS, accompanied by his lover Misty. Igniz introduced himself at last, mentioning the purpose of his creations: K', Kula, Krizalid and K9999, they were created with the purpose that they were to be the strongest human beings, so that he, who had a power superior to humans, wanted to become a God, and for this he would face his own creations who would be the humans more powerful. Igniz eventually demonstrated great power, eliminating team members one after another, until K' was left, and he faced it with all his rage and rage. Despite the fact that Igniz beat him down, he did not give up, as he was determined to end the man who took his life from him. With all his power K' manages to defeat Igniz. Weakened, Igniz activates the self-destruct system in conjunction with the ship's coordinate system, pretending to crash the station with Earth. In desperation, the team doesn't know what to do. However, they felt that the ship was beginning to get colder. Kula who after being attacked by NESTS agents, Angel and K9999, decided to stop the impact of the station by freezing it with all its power. He successfully froze the station, saving K' and his team, but ended up exhausted and fell to the bottom of the sea. As it sank, K' came out of the depths, who had also fallen into the sea from the impact. They met in a brief moment, and K', in an act of kindness, took her and brought her to the surface (he wanted to save her so he could give her a normal life, because he knew that both she and he lost their normal lives because of NESTS, besides that she was repressed her emotions, and she thought that now she deserved the opportunity to live normally).

They all gathered on a beach, Lin, not feeling Ron's presence, gave him up for dead and left for his quiet town. While K', Maxima and Whip met Diana, who went to see Kula to see that she was okay. Later, K' and Kula saw each other, and he decided that she and Diana would be with his team, treating her like a younger sister. Since then, ties were formed between Kula, K', and Whip, who was like an older sister to her. With NESTS removed, they were able to have a normal and peaceful life for the time being...

Ash Saga[]

The King of Fighters 2003[]

This time the K' Team no longer has much relevance in this tournament, even so, they have some importance. After the extermination of NESTS, K' developed a hatred towards the KOF tournament. However, the team participated at the request of Chin Gentsai, who had a bad feeling about the tournament. They reluctantly accepted, as K' did not want to participate in the tournament again.

This time, the team-of-3 rule was reverted, but with the option of relays. With this in mind, K', Maxima and Whip would be the participants while Kula would be a spectator in a residence together with Diana. Upon reaching the final of the tournament, they encountered Mukai, a member of a mysterious organization called Those from the Past, who intended to steal Orochi's seal. Mukai was very curious about K', since he was, according to, an imitation of the Kusanagi flames. Even if he saw it that way, he was surprised at the power that K' had, but he told him that this power would give him an annoying burden to bear, since the base of his power is desired by many. After a fight with Mukai they were transported off the Orochi seal. As K' thought about what Mukai said, his flames suddenly appeared of their own accord. Maxima asked him if there were problems with the glove, K' replied that it was not the glove but the basis of his power. While Whip was talking on the phone with Diana, seeing that something big surrounds the KOF, and Kula was spying on the conversation of the two out of curiosity. After finishing business, the team heads home, K' mentioning that the "little kitten", and Maxima telling her that is a weird way to describe her.

The King of Fighters XI[]

This time the team was contacted by the Ikari Mercenaries, specifically Heidern, Whip eventually agreed and returned to the Ikari Warriors. K' and Maxima agreed to collaborate with them but not be part of them. It was discussed that they should participate in the tournament again, as after the events of KOF 2003, it was decided that they should keep an eye on that mysterious organization that Mukai belonged to. This led to K' and Maxima participating again in the KOF. As expected, K' reluctantly accepts out of hatred for KOF. However, Whip would not participate this time, and Heidern introduced his new partner: Kula, who was encouraged to participate, with Diana's permission.

After reaching the final rounds, they had a fight with Shion, and the tournament sponsor and Shion's master, Magaki, who belonged to Those from the Past just like Mukai. Although the K' Team failed to defeat Magaki, as he was defeated by Kyo, Iori, and Shingo's team, and killed by Shion's spear from a parallel dimension, the K' Team received orders to take Magaki's body away for him analyze it. With the body in their hands, the K' Team is transported by boat by the Ikari Warriors, having a brief conversation about what happened, however, Kula sensed something like the rest of the team, the presence of someone, and then one of the ships exploded, precisely the one that carried Magaki's body. The only survivors were the Ikari Warriors Team, who reported that two mysterious boys, apparently belonging to Those from the Past, took Magaki's body, saying that one of them would give them as a gift for their effort, an explosion on the ship.

The King of Fighters XIII[]

K', Maxima and Kula return to action together to stop Ash that pedeció with the powers of Saiki and transformed into Evil Ash.

In the scenes of the game, it is seen that the team was investigating some ruins that appeared out of nowhere, which showed signs of much antiquity. When they went deeper, they found a room where the light came, which had some hieroglyphs that indicated a ritual and the confrontation of two beings. The images, which they did not know how to interpret at the time, made reference to the Portal of Time that Those from the Past were going to use in the tournament. Having gathered the information they needed, they left. The K' Team had reached the finals but they were definitely defeated although they witnessed that Those from the Past were going to use a time portal after the final round.

After the end of the team, K' and company go on vacation when suddenly some bandits begin to assault them. They had no alternative but to fight them.
