The King of Fighters EX Saga cover
EX Saga is a non-canonical Spin-off Saga released for Game Boy Advance.
His first game The King of Fighters EX: Neo Blood was released on January 1, 2002 and both games in theory take place between The King of Fighters '97 and The King of Fighters '99, in the period where Kyo Kusanagi remained missing fleeing from NESTS.
This Saga is known for using game scenarios from the NESTS Saga but with a more Orochi Saga storyline. Although the character Moe Habana is considered the heroine of this saga, Kyo Kusanagi is apparently still the main character, leading the Hero Team of both games.
Story[]
After Orochi's defeat, Moe Habana finds the injured Kyo Kusanagi, and helps him recover. After that the two get together to participate in the next tournament, where the host was again Geese Howard who was interested in the power of Orochi that Iori Yagami possessed.
Later a mysterious man named Gustav Munchausen tries to revive the spirit of Leopold Goenitz in the body of a boy named Sinobu Amou.
