
BrezzaSoft Corporation (株式会社ブレッツアソフト, Kabushiki-gaisha Burettsuasofuto) is a video game and software company based in Toyotsu-cho, Suita, Osaka, Japan and founded on September 1, 2000[1].
History[]
The company BrezzaSoft Corporation develops its activity, the arcade video game sector and founded the September 1, 2000 by Eikichi Kawasaki[1].
As soon as Aruze, a very large pachinko manufacturer having bought SNK at the time in financial difficulty, began to abandon SNK and video games to only benefit from the company's licenses, Eikichi Kawasaki felt that SNK did not have much longer to live and leaves the group he founded to set up BrezzaSoft. After the collapse of the SNK company October 30, 2001[2][3][4][5][6][7], a large part of the developers of the dissolved company will emigrate to join the BrezzaSoft company.
BrezzaSoft buys almost all of the intellectual property rights relating to SNK games.
BrezzaSoft released two unlicensed games for the Neo Geo MVS and was involved in the development of games such KOF 2001, KOF 2002 and Metal Slug 4. In 2001 they released their own arcade hardware platform, the Crystal System.
In October 2002 BrezzaSoft merged with Sun Amusement, themselves acquired by Playmore Corporation, reuniting former SNK staff and providing Playmore with in-house development resources[8].
